Our work camping team helps create the friendly, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that so many of you return for year after year. April is the perfect time to introduce the wonderful team that will be supporting the campground this season!
And of course, as always, you’ll see me, Lisa, right alongside them. Whispering Surf is a hands-on, owner-operated campground, and during the summer months I’m involved every day — welcoming guests, working on projects, and helping make sure your stay feels personal and special.
We’re excited to share both familiar faces and new ones joining us for Summer 2026.
Returning Team Members

Drea (Office) and Amanda (Outside)
Drea and Amanda, originally from Arkansas, are returning for their second season at Whispering Surf and are quickly becoming campground favorites.
Drea keeps things running smoothly in the office, and Amanda helps keep the park looking great outside.
They are also the creative force behind:
- The fairy garden near the office
- Special event decorating for Christmas in July and Halloween Fun weekends
- Food preparation for our four free Pancake Breakfasts
This is their fourth year of full-time RVing and work camping, and we’re so happy to have their energy and creativity back again.
Ken and Jeannie
Ken and Jeannie are joining us from Lake, Michigan. Whispering Surf will be their second work camping experience.
When they’re not traveling, they live in a tiny home — and they love meeting new people and jumping into campground life.
Their hobbies include:
- Playing games
- Pickleball
- Exploring on their motorcycles
Be sure to say hello when you see them around the park!
Jeff and Cherie
Jeff and Cherie are coming to us from Dade City, Florida (and Jeff is originally from Michigan), and they bring a wealth of work camping experience.
They’re excited to get reacquainted with everything Michigan has to offer.
Their hobbies include:
- Boating
- Thrifting
- Pickleball
- Fishing and golf
- Traveling
And here’s a fun fact: they have a goal to visit all U.S. state capitals — and they’re already up to 29!
