As America celebrates its 250th birthday this year, we’re excited to spend the summer celebrating the simple traditions that make places like Pentwater feel timeless.
Summer-Long Patriotic Campsite Contest
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Whispering Surf will be selecting a “Best Patriotic Site” each weekend!
Both seasonal and vacationing campers are invited to join the fun by decorating their campsite with patriotic flair — flags, lights, banners, creative displays, or whatever feels festive to you.
Winners will be selected on Saturdays and announced during Saturday night popcorn. The winning site will receive a small prize and campground bragging rights for the week.
Fireworks All Around the Lakeshore
One of the best parts of spending July 4th week in the Pentwater area is that you can often enjoy fireworks on multiple nights throughout the holiday week.
Nearby communities throughout the lakeshore region typically host fireworks celebrations, giving families several opportunities to enjoy summer evenings under the stars. It’s one of the things that makes this area feel especially magical during the Fourth of July season.
